"I won't let one little creature suffer in vain, none shall perish from my broad Earth without my consent. I watch over all, over all I watch just as the shepherd his sheep, just as the night watchman his tasked properties. There is no minute in which I blink, missing what occurs- all I see and all I know. My concern is for all who shelter under my broad skies. All I love, not just the few, although some may indeed know me in their hearts better than others do.
I wish for you all to develop the sensitivity I gave you- the sensitivity with which you were born. This is my message, the message of the eons, the message that my faithful creatures and messengers have ever conveyed, including the one currently speaking as he types.
I wish you to develop all that is highest in you- every highest urge- for in this, in this sentience, in this compassion, you reveal how I have set you up as greater than any animal. You can appreciate great beauty, the more you notice, the more you shall notice. You can feel great warmth and love for one another- and this type of feeling will make you feel good like none other. your satisfaction is already clear to you- in loving and in serving others can you be who you really are and in doing so you inevitably serve me.
Love me as I love you- I love as a father, yet you may well love as a child. a child with much to learn, yet in your image like me, your father. In your capacity for this greatest of all miracles- the ability to love- you are indeed like me. Think of quality, not quantity and the truth will be yours. The more you love me, the less you will fear me- that's the way it works. Yet as your love fades, so your fear may well rise- as anything is better to me than apathy. Yet it is your love I wish for, not your fear, though in the religions of the world I see so much of the latter, it saddens me that you cannot always find my better way to be good. Give from wanting to, not from fear of what will happen if you don't. Give freely, as I have given to you.
In an hour you cannot expect, I may well test you- and you may well have the sense that I am doing just that. My test is no more cruel or unnecessary than that of your schoolmasters, yet if your faith is steady you will 'pass' every test and will never be punished for failing one. Better still, those that pass shall enjoy the wonders of the next grade, wonders incomparably better than what preceded them- so such tests are in fact in your interest!
I have always, will always and am right now speaking through my appointed messengers. If you wish to know who is really a chosen messenger and who just wants to be one, test by the kindness and deep, searching truth of the message. Those that are of me do this for me, not for themselves and their messages are ever-brimming with authentic hope, though also laden with warnings of what could go wrong if an unfaithful path is followed. My prophets do not simply say what will happen- they lead by saying what may well happen, depending upon the choices made. Many a tragedy has thus been averted- hence my chosen system of lifting up the pure to lead humanity from me, not necessarily those already holding the reins of political or other powers. Mine are the pure, the humble, the meek, the kind, the patient, the loving, the lovable. You will know those who are of me. Just ask your heart. You will know".

Relationship with Nature
The main problem today is that man’s relationship with the Earth is out of whack. This being our mother, everything can be traced to this- hence the many distortions and perversions we find, coming from not being in harmony with wider nature.
To be part of the solution- Get back in touch with Mother Nature, lead a life with sane, natural rhythms. It is never too late to try and your heart will thank you for it no end!

The Need for True Religion
I am starting to realise the reason for religion coexisting with us since the beginning of time. Now, I am really talking about ‘good’ religion, spirituality, religion like Jesus had. On the one hand it gives us a sense of comfort to know that an eternal father is there, looking out for us. Immanent, yet eternal, he is always there when we need him, with needs he can anticipate. What better way to go through life?
Then, it also helps us understand the way things are. Cosmologies explain the nature of creation, the realities of the rebellion and it’s ultimate defeat by God in the appointed time. The vastness of the universe, something we can see in the beautiful nature around us, is also thereby depicted. It helps us to see the forest for the trees. Also, we can learn our grand, inspiring destiny; to ultimately dwell with God on high.
Thirdly, it guards against demons- spirits outside of us and also our own inner demons. It emphasizes all that is best, most generous, most kind in us and brings it to the surface. It emphatically rejects the deceits or curiosities of our weaker, undeveloped elements. If we ever wonder what is really right, dynamic religion, through our conscience, can tell us. This is an immensely important function, as without it there is a strong possibility of nihilism blurring our definition of good and evil a la Nietzsche. We need to have a sense that helping others and being kind is the central way of the universe. This is in accord with Holy Scriptures and hence in accord with God’s will.
God does have a will- the universe and the moral field is defined. Life is not just an existential experiment in which we find everything out by trial and error. By following God- our conscience, our inner messenger- we go the right way. That inner voice will never leave us and will always guide us back to the path of righteousness. God came as a human just to show us how possible that is- to help without being overbearing, to worship in a spirit of love and freedom- to have real values, even in a world where many falsehoods are mistakenly elevated and advertised as attractive. This is true values, authentic attractiveness; a wholesome food for the soul.
Some may not like the word religion, even with the defining word ‘true’ before it. But I am speaking more about a personal experience of God and God’s glory than any established, organized system of ritualistic blessings. In a more dynamic, responsive faith that is in touch with God on an individual level. Finding a God ever around us who we can simply become more aware of, more faithful in, more responsive too, as we see him more. God is a verb as well as a noun. In us he becomes flesh again.
This is the hole, the inspiration, the glory, that saves us from manifold mistakes. In this we find true love, the source of our hearts desiring. This restored faith can give us hope, can set us free from the web of falsehood that threatens us. It’s the true happiness that no billboard advertises.
Praise the Heavenly Father
Amen.

What Makes Me Sad
It truly makes me sad to see how people get caught up in conflict and violence- they dehumanize one another and treat each other as enemies, when really they could all be friends. If we shared what we have and looked after one another’s needs- emotional as well as economic- we could have a far more peaceful world. We waste so much energy on conflict, on arguing about beliefs, on misinterpreting one another’s words, when it is all so unnecessary.
People seek explanations of evil- they blame erroneous beliefs, bad attitudes, and even spiritual beings taking over weakened minds. All of this has some truth- but ultimately it is us- the conscious us who decides. If we forgo selfishness and start to think more of how we can look after one another, then we can find our true happiness. A hungry man is an angry man- and a loving, loved man can never feel hungry again.
The Urantia Book makes very clear the difference between evil and sin. Evil is a misconstrued attitude to the universe- it is usually found in ignorance. Hence the many evils of a developing country, the corruption, the bribes, the lack of justice- all accepted as a way of life by the otherwise smiling locals. Sin is quite different- giving in to temptation to try for some false goal- this is the realm of twisted thinking, of willfully doing wrong. This can only be cleansed by spiritual means, not just by a good education. When a being slips from evil into conscious sin, he is surely in trouble. The problem of religion is sin, not evil. This is why we will always need religion in some form or other, even when obvious evils are finally scarce to find.
There is a dignity in this- that here we really do have a choice. By following God’s will- the voice of the Higher Reality that we are truly a part of- we can live life of virtue, as partners with eternity. We will then never lust or long for more than we have, as we then have everything- we even are everything. Our power is to share in God’s power, not to seek to lord over others. We seek to be the servants of others, just as they serve us, all of us looking after one another in the great cosmic communion of Love.
